Private Water Trips

     At McFarland Rod Company we have a limited number of days available for those who would like a first class experience of the wonderful fly fishing here in central Pennsylvania.  We offer trips on the public waters of the Little Juniata, Spring Creek, and Penn's Creek, and also on the finest private stretches of world famous Spruce Creek. 
     If you are a novice fly fisher, there is nothing better to improve your skills than a day on the water with one of our experienced guides. Our guides are not only excellent fly fisherman that know these local waters very well, they are also great instructors who are friendly, helpful, and courteous. The instruction that you will receive on your trip will benefit you throughout a lifetime of fly fishing.

What to Bring:  Any trip booked through McFarland Rod Company includes free use of all tackle except for waders.  This includes McFarland rods, quality reels, and all flies, leaders, tippet, etc.  A current PA fishing license is required, and they are available on-line at www.fish.state.pa.us.

If you Forget Something:  Don't worry.  We offer a full line of quality fly fishing equipment and can meet all of your outfitting needs during your trip.

Non-Fishing Guests:  Central Pennsylvania has a wide variety of attractions for non-fishing guests including an amusement park, a winery, hiking, bicycling, a railroader's museum, and many other historical sites.  Please contact us for more information on these and other attractions.
